Why I'm reading this book: A student of history, I'm fascinated by two subjects. Presidential history and World War 1. Often overlooked because of World War 2, WW1 stands out because of the lessons learned about modern warfare and its terrible machines and the lessons we didn't learn about the death and destruction of modern warfare. This book rested on a bottom shelf for a long time in my personal library. Time to knock the dust off and revisit this tragic period in our history.
